CLARIFYING BOOSTER PRO CLAIMS
  • Official Statement on the Misleading Information Regarding the Booster Pro Device and Bell's Palsy.
    We would like to clarify that the Booster Pro device does not cause Bell's Palsy. Recently, a viral video on TikTok has been spreading false information claiming that the Booster Pro device caused nerve damage.
    This misinformation has been spreading uncontrollably, not only affecting our customers but also misleading new individuals who are unfamiliar with our brand, medicube.
    As the brand responsible for the production, sales, and distribution of the Booster Pro, medicube has determined that we must address and correct this misinformation.
    First, it is important to note that generally in the United States, facial paralysis, (including Bell's Palsy) affects approximately 40,000 new cases annually.
    The support of medical journalism states that Bell's Palsy is most likely casued by a viral agent. Evidenced in the medical literature , the literature states: "Regarding the causation of Bell's Palsy, a viral agent has long been suspected and such a mechanism has been established with reasonable certainty for the majority of cases (Baringer, 1996)"

    (1) Why the Booster Pro's electrical pulse cannot cause nerve damage:
    Most facial electrical stimulation devices on the market operate within the range of 35 to 80mA.
    The Booster Pro, however, operates at just 7mA on Level 1 and 14mA on Level 5.

    This represents only 9% to 20% of the intensity found in other facial electrical stimulation devices readily available in the market. At such low output levels, it is scientifically impossible for the device to cause nerve damage or paralysis.
    This has been confirmed through official clinical safety evaluations.
    Furthermore, there are no scientific papers or studies reporting facial nerve damage resulting from electrical stimulation.
    On the contrary, electrical stimulation is recognized and widely used in the medical field as a treatment for facial paralysis.

    (2) Medical References regarding the cause of Bell's Palsy:
    According to authoritative neurology textbooks such as Aminoff's Neurology and General Medicine and The Textbook of Neurology, the medically established causes of Bell's Palsy include but are not limited to: Lyme Disease, HIV, Tuberculous, HSV, Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and Herpes Viruses or Varicella-Zoster Viruses. As such, electrical stimulation is not a recognized cause of these conditions, and attributing such damage to it is both unproven and thus misleading.

    In addition to this serious matter, our concerns for the growing number of fake products that are being marketed as medicube products is a key topic we would like to also address. Over the past 3-4 months, our consumers, vendors, and our team have discovered various fake skincare products and facial devices that have been designed to replicate the look and feel of our products. These products are not produced by medicube and thus have no verifiable safety standards, further complicating the issue at hand.
    We issue this statement to ensure that all medicube consumers are getting the highest quality and safest products.

1. Air Shot Mode

The first step to achieving glass skin is to smooth your skin texture. Gently exfoliate using the Air Shot mode.
Brush against dry skin 2-3 times a week. (5 minutes per use)
Use it on dry skin by sweeping the device head from the inside to the outside.

2. Booster Mode

No matter what skincare you use, Booster Mode enhances absorption, giving you the ultimate glass glow skin.
Absorb skincare using Booster Mode 1-3 times (use 5-10 minutes per use)
Use it after applying skincare, and set it to level 1 when using it for the first time.
Roll it on the skin in a circular motion from the inside to the outside.
*When used with a high-performance serum, Booster mode can enhance the effects.

3. MC Mode

To boost your skin's firmness, absorb your cream with MC mode.
Use 1-3 times a day, in an upward motion by adhering the head to the skin (5-10 minutes per use)
Use it after applying skincare by pulling upward from the inside to the outside.
*Especially, use it around the eyes, mouth, and nasolabial folds. When used with a cream, MC Mode enhances skin volume.

4. Derma Shot Mode

Use Derma Shot mode to contour and firm skin, emphasizing your cheekbones and jawline.
Use 1-3 times daily, pausing for 1-2 seconds on the desired area. (5-10 minutes per use)
Slowly draw a circle or massage outward to relax your muscles.

  • How is it different from the original ATS Air Shot?Unlike the existing Air Shot, it is designed to operate even when only one electrode is touched. It can be used by lightly grazing the edge of the head, allowing for more convenient and delicate care. The device is more effective and less irritating than the prior device.
  • How is it different from the existing Derma EMS Shot?The existing Derma EMS Shot technology stimulates muscles to help manage swelling and elasticity. Booster Pro's derma shot mode applies a frequency more optimized for facial muscles than the existing Derma EMS Shot, providing a stronger facial contour care effect.
  • Do I need to use the dedicated gel when using derma shot mode?No. It can be used without the dedicated gel by applying the appropriate frequency to the facial muscles. Please use it together with skincare you normally use.
  • I'm curious about the order of use. Can I use all 4 modes in the same routine?Yes, four modes can be used simultaneously. After using the air shot mode for dry skin, use the booster, microcurrent, and derma shot modes along with the skincare you normally use.
  • What is the usage cycle for each mode?Be sure to check the usage cycle before use, and adjust the usage cycle and usage time according to your skin type.
  • How should I use skincare when using the booster, mc, and derma shot modes simultaneously?Absorb a light serum and ampoule in booster mode, then follow with a rich, viscous cream/gel formulation. After booster mode care, use mc mode and derma shot mode with the remaining amount on the skin without applying additional skincare. If the intensity feels too low, add additional product.

  • Can all 4 modes be used around the eyes?All four modes of Booster Pro can be used around the eyes, and we recommend using level 1 for areas with thin skin, such as around the eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • It’s too bright even when I close my eyes. The LED seems to be too strong. Is this okay?It may feel too bright but it has no effect on your eyes and is safe to use. However, if there is a lot of product on the head and the central LED operates even without contact with the skin, be careful of direct eye exposure.
    • Is it defective if there are scratches on the device head? We used surgical steel, which is commonly used in medical devices such as scalpels and syringe needles, for the device head. While it is non-allergenic and rust-resistant, slight scratches may occur during the manufacturing or cleaning process due to the characteristics of surgical steel.
    Is it defective if there are scratches on the LED head? The lines on the booster pro LED section are not scratches but marks formed during plastic production. It is safe to use and is not defective.
